The Komplete edition is removed from Steam

The bundles are great. Editions game of the year, complete editions, remasters, birthday editions; It's about giving everything the game has to offer. They are often sold for less than the sum of their pieces, but are worth it. What is not great is when these things are written or are no longer available for purchase. The last case is mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition. This is the definitive edition of Mortal Kombat (2011) or Mortal Kombat 9. For some reason, this game has been removed from Steam recently at the request of the publisher.

We can guess why he disappeared. At the time of the exit of Mortal Kombat 9, the parent company of the Warner Bros. publisher. Interactive Warner Bros. Entertainment had the rights of Freddy Krueger, who appeared in the game as a guest fighter. In 2019, the Freddy Krueger license returned to the domain of his creator Wes Craven. It is certainly possible that Warner Bros. Did not renew the license and had to stop selling any content with Freddy Krueger, including the Komplete edition.

Since Krueger is a DLC character, it is always possible to sell the game in its basic form, without DLC. They should omit his DLC pack, but at least it would always be on the market. The game has been removed from the STEAM list recently, so we can still see Warner Bros. Offer an alternative package for the game without Freddy Krueger. Freddy's theory is only speculation at this stage, but plausible. Mortal Kombat (2011) is available on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
