IGN will organize the Summer of Gaming Digital Event in June
The next thing we will get to E3 this year.
While his general importance has been enlarged in recent years, E3 is still considered a central element of the game industry marketing cycle. It is still the place where almost every major company imagines its products as much as possible. This year's show was canceled because of the Covid-19 outbreak and left a huge hole. Well, it seems that a rather unlikely unit has reported to fill this hole.
Today, the news organization IGN announced that you will organize a digital event called Summer of Gaming. It will take place in June, at the same time as E3 planned, and there will be a variety of events with on-demand and live content containing gameplay impressions, demos and revelations. They also explicitly mention the next generation consoles so that it is possible for us to see some next-generation games as part of it. Publisher, which were confirmed as part of the event, are 2K, Square Enix, Sega, Bandai Namco, Amazon, Google, Devolver Digital and THQ Nordic. Further will seem to follow. You can read more details on the linked website.
There are no appointments yet, but we keep you up to date if you are announced. It looks like this will probably be the next time we come 2020 to an E3.
