COD VANGUARD: Important innovation forces you to match that you do not feel like it
With the Combat pacing brought Call of Duty: Vanguard a mechanism into play over take with their control over the number of players in a match. However, the system performs after the release rather to the fact that it ends up in matches to which you might have no desire.
The new Call of Duty: Vanguard offers a decent amount of improvements over its predecessor Black Ops Cold War:
Level bare operator for many Cosmetics Destructible objects on the map Return of Kill streaks
One major change is the Combat Pacing. That makes you adjust to any standard game mode, how many players want to tackle her a match. But after the release of this mechanism is very willing to compromise... and sends you in part in matches, you do not feel like her.
Number of players varies despite Combat Pacing
What is wrong with the mechanics The Combat Pacing you have the choice between three different game speeds?:
Tactically attack Lightning
The tactical -Pacing you re looking for a Cod experience, as you know it from the predecessors. Here you want to start the normal 6v6 matches, which for years formed the basis of multiplayer. Do you have it in for more action, then selects their attack or flash and gets by rather teammates and opponents into the match?
You can specify whether you re looking for matches with all pacing or only a very specific pacing preferred. But Vanguard takes this attitude rather than recommendation true and not looking strictly only matches with the desired pacing. So will you play only tactical matches, you throw the players still looking into bigger matches.
Why is that a problem? The number of players has a great impact on the game. More players mean more battles, other tactics more action. But that would not necessarily everyone. So you play the wrong Vanguard pacing about, you have two options:
A match play, on the one actually has no desire Quit game and hope for the next Matchmaking
Both affect the game experience for everyone involved. The flash-Match starts with too few players, thereby losing quality. You are the player who left the match, your matchmaking takes longer because I need a new match.
Is this a bug?
What players say? The Combat pacing itself actually comes pretty good. Under a Tweet of Call of Duty with the question of which pacing the players prefer like map, get a lot of positive comments. But the number using the random team sizes often leads to frustration.
Sun @ Pure Country 707 wrote on Twitter: Combat pacing is garbage. [...] You should take it out of the game. Why do I choose Tactically and then landing in flash?. Also @ mkelly5698 is acidic (via Twitter): Combat Pacing is the worst thing I ve ever seen. Why can not just play 6v6 as in the last 15 years I?. For Kelly it is also a problem that you still match with 10vs10 plays with the tactical pacing like on the big map Red Star.
Others are partially irritated that they do not receive the Combat pacing that they have chosen and ask if it might be a bug.
@ JoshuaUlloa10 this on Twitter: I have chosen attack or flash and continue to get tactical. Any clues why this is not working or is this a bug?. Partially users make also make fun like @ Jose36896109 on Twitter: My favorite pacing is what I select and then says the matchmaking: I do not care what you want and brings me to play that, whatever matchmaking wants.
If you leave the way? Already in the beta phase of the Vanguard Combat pacing was very willing to compromise, and currently it can not say for sure whether it is a mistake or by design. A statement of the developers can not find to date.
However, since the effects can have a significant impact on the gaming experience, a statement in the near future would be conceivable if the problem gets bigger.
